The word ‘dula’ is derived from the local Filipino language meaning play.
We specialise in wear that is needed to ‘dula’ and stay active.
We are initially launching active wear and working towards launching our dula swimwear in Summer 2020.
Dula believe that we have a responsibility to halt the pollution of single-use plastics and stop them from damaging our pristine oceans, clogging our waterways and polluting our earth.
We are proud to confirm that all of our activewear and swimwear is made from recycled plastic bottles.
We hope to inspire others with our passion for sustainability because we know that
plastic bottles would look much better on you than in our oceans.

ECONYL®
Vita by Carvico is made using ECONYL® regenerated Nylon.
So let's talk about ECONYL®
ECONYL® is the regenerated nylon fibre produced by Italian nylon manufacturing company Aquafil, in collaboration with the Healthy Seas initiative.
It is made by recovering nylon waste - such as fishing nets from the oceans and aquaculture, fabric scraps from mills and carpets destined for landfill – and turning it into virgin quality nylon yarn for the fashion and interior industries. The yarn is entirely regenerated from waste materials.
The fishing nets collected from our oceans help to protect loss of marine life that would otherwise get entangled in these nets.
How is ECONYL® made?
1. Rescue
The ECONYL® Regeneration System starts with rescuing waste, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic from landfills and oceans all over the world. That waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover all of the nylon possible.
2. Regenerate
Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity. That means ECONYL® regenerated nylon is exactly the same as virgin nylon.
3. Remake
ECONYL® regenerated nylon is processed into carpet yarn and textile yarn for the fashion and interior industries.
4. Reimagine
The beauty of ECONYL® regenerated nylon is that it has the potential to be recycled infinitely, without ever losing its quality. We believe circular design is the future and using ECONYL® is our first step on that journey.

ECONYL® is still a synthetic and as a synthetic it leaks microfibres when washed. Microfibres are tiny plastic particles that are released from synthetic fibres such as nylon and polyester (even recycled versions of them) when the fabrics are washed.
So using wash bags or filters in your washing are great ways to minimise this impact of ECONYL®.
